Barrett & Coe 2019 Photographer of the Year Announced!

Congratulations to photographer Stuart Gennery (Barrett & Coe Sidcup) who has been named as the 2019 Barrett & Coe Photographer of the Year!

Stuart’s collection of family, baby and pet photography was recognised as outstanding by our judges and sees him win £250 credit to spend with Premier Image, who sponsor this award. This is Stuart’s second success of 2019 after being named as the Baby of the Month Photographer of the Year in recognition of his baby photography entered into the national BOM competition.

Formerly a mounted Police Sergeant with the Metropolitan Police, Stuart completed his Barrett & Coe photography training back in December 2013, working originally from a mobile studio doing home visits, until he progressed and moved into his own studio premises in Sidcup.

Stuart specialises in Baby, Family and Pet photography and his personality and rapport with his customers, combined with his skill at capturing stunning images has seen him achieve a Licentiate Qualification with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Master Photographers Association (MPA).

Commenting on his success Stuart told us:
“I was completely stunned when it was announced that I’d won the award but it’s a really great feeling to know that all the effort that has gone in to producing work for clients has been recognised by people in the industry.”

Special mentions must also go to Gregg Smith of Barrett & Coe Welwyn and Peter Evans of Barrett & Coe Essex who achieved 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
