Overall, clients are booking much later than previous years. Possibly due to the insecurity of the job market, It seems they are hanging on to their budget until they absolutely have to make a commitment. To accommodate this, it may be necessary to change the usual payment schedule.

On the other hand, there are still some couples who are booking 18 months to 2 years in advance!

Wedding fayres and venue referrals are by still the greatest source of bookings. Enquiries still come via the web but conversion rates are much much higher via referral – 90%.

Good wedding photographers should be able to build up a solid business within 3-4 years of starting with most of their business coming from referrals.

The market place for Venues has become very competitive with more and more getting their wedding licences. Many have dropped their package prices to be more competitive but some are looking for value they can add – this is where our corporate packs come into their own.
