Yesterday we had the fifth seminar of our Portrait Photography Course and Wedding Photography Course

We have been advising one of our Wedding Course students who is currently a ballet dancer with the Northern Ballet to set up his own wedding photography business.
As naturally gifted as he is technically proficient, Martin Bell is different from many other professional photographers in Hampshire in that he has an exceptional understanding of his principal subject: people. Having developed an observational style that is both inquisitive and unobtrusive, Martin is able to take photographs that illumine human behaviour in its most natural form. Martin is able to achieve this in part because of his former association with Northern Ballet, with whom he performed as a soloist. This enabled Martin to acquire a remarkable insight into the human body.

Anticipating the directional changes of his subject, Martin is able to capture moments that are beyond the majority of his peers. Moments that are fleeting and unexpected. Moments that arrive and depart in the same instant. It is this level of insight that allows Martin to produce truly exquisite imagery.

Following his successful stint as a soloist, Martin obtained a diploma from the Photography Institute – a move that provided the catalyst for his current, even more prosperous career. Martin is based in Hampshire and operates throughout the south of England, while providing dance photography for companies across the UK.

You can see more about Martin on his new website www.martinbell-photography.co.uk
