The good news for wedding photographers is that there was the biggest rise in weddings since the Second World War in the latest figures released by the Marriage Foundation think-tank. They believe that the true increase could be as much as 11%.
Following a significant decrease in 2011 this is good news for wedding photographers. It is believed that the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s and the improving economic situation in the UK were amongst the reasons for the increase.
There was also the biggest year on year increase for church weddings for 30 years and there seems to be a revival for the “traditional” marriage. The average age of the typical groom is around 32 years with a wife who has just hit 30.
